The ritual of drinking tea or coffee together serves as a symbol to take away the fear of the "foreigner", to strengthen tolerance and community between cultures and generations. We want to cultivate and practice this ritual together, accompanied by artists from the region.

Our Café Wake Cup is back!

You can look forward to an evening where music speaks for us, stays in our memories and brings us together!

As a special feature, we will be showing ‘Braveheart’ by Collective Malouba afterwards:

A young woman disappears. There is no trace of her, no sign. It is as if she never existed. Only a young man, once her partner, could perhaps help shed light on the matter. He is interrogated, pressured, and forced to speak, but they are unable to convict him. Nevertheless, he is convicted, punished, and disappears.

The story is told by an author who wants to write a play about the right of individuals to give up hope. In the course of his work, he realizes that his defense of this right is essentially a defense of the right to use violence against others, against oneself, or against a system that threatens individuals with disappearance.

Braveheart is a play about the absence of political effectiveness and a feeling of powerlessness that can threaten entire societies. At the heart of the play, however, is the question: How can one regain hope when the world takes one's breath away?

In Arabic with German surtitles.

Café Wake Cup: Sunday, December 7th, 4 p.m., admission is free Theatre play: Sunday, December 7th, 6 p.m., €9 / €15
