The literary side of the Theater an der Ruhr
Our 24/25 season revolves around the theme of “secrets” - a topic that extends from the intimate to the political sphere. Where transparency is required and which secrets should remain hidden and untouched will occupy the Theater an der Ruhr for a whole year.
Which books accompany our debate? And why are they important? What else can perhaps be discovered in them? In the reading foyer, we want to discuss these texts with you over a cup of coffee or tea and explore the literary side of Theater an der Ruhr together. No previous knowledge is necessary - the reading foyer is open to anyone who is curious about different perspectives and ideas and would like to discuss them with us. Staff from the dramaturgy and drama departments cordially invite you to join us.
The reading foyer is not conceived as a reading event, but as a forum for exchanging ideas about the texts that are currently on our stage. Various members of the dramaturgy and drama departments are always present and the event develops together with the visitors.
